Where are Artefilo pieces made?

Every object is designed and produced in Noord Holland, where we 3D-print, sand, and assemble each piece by hand. We use recycled and upcycled materials, giving new life to plastics that would otherwise go to waste. Each piece carries small traces of this circular story — the warmth of something reborn.

Do you know where your materials come from?

Always. Every filament we use comes from verified European sources, often made from post-industrial or post-consumer waste — such as old car parts, food packaging, or discarded tools. We trace each batch from its origin to its new form, so you always know the story behind what you hold. Material transparency is part of the comfort we design for.

Is Artefilo sustainable?

Yes — sustainability is our foundation. We print using recycled or bio-based filaments, locally sourced and produced in small batches. Our packaging is minimal, recyclable, and reusable. Comfort, without excess.

How long does shipping take?

Each piece is made to order — crafted and finished with care. Production takes about 5–10 working days, plus delivery time. We ship across the EU using carbon-neutral services. Occasionally we arrange shipments further afield (such as to the US)— please reach out and we’ll explore options.

What if something breaks?

If your Artefilo piece ever breaks — whether through manufacturing fault or accident — we’ll repair or replace it free of charge (provided we can receive it). Depending on where you are, return shipping may be the only cost. Whenever possible, we reuse or upcycle the damaged parts into new pieces. Nothing goes to waste — every fragment finds another life.

Can I return or exchange an item?

You can return any unused piece within 14 days of delivery in its original condition and packaging.
If something arrives damaged, contact us — we’ll always find a caring solution. Tiny variations in tone or surface are not flaws, but signs of the material’s past life.

What are “Second Chance” pieces?

Sometimes a print shows a small irregularity — a line, a hue shift, a texture from its recycled filament.
These are Second Chance pieces: fully functional, slightly unique, and offered at a lower price. They remind us that beauty often lies in imperfection.

Can I visit the workshop?

If you’re local or visiting, yes — and we’d love that. You can drop by our studio in Noord Holland, see how pieces are made, and even take one home by paying what you like. It’s our way of keeping design open, circular, and human.

How do I care for my Artefilo lamp or vase?

Dust gently with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners or hot surfaces. Use only LED bulbs — they stay cool and preserve the material’s tone. Treat your piece like a small architecture — made to last, but still alive.

Can I request a custom color or collaboration?

Absolutely. Artefilo was born from dialogue — between minds, hands, and materials. We love collaborating with designers, architects, and curious people on custom editions or projects. Write to support@artefilo.com and let’s begin.

What does “Architecture of Comfort” mean?

It’s our way of designing — where form, light, and sustainability shape not only objects, but feelings. Every Artefilo piece is a small architecture for comfort — warm, honest, and quietly alive.
