Giro is an elegant, eco-conscious table lamp with a sleek aesthetic and practical 360° lighting functionality. The modular design combines two components: a tapered lamp shade that can be rotated 360° and a “volcano”-style base inspired by the purest forms of 20th-century ceramics. The narrow opening in Giro’s lampshade allows light to be effortlessly directed for reading mode.
The Giro is crafted using 100% recycled and repurposed natural filaments. Its base is made by blending elephant grass with recycled materials, and the lampshade is created by reusing waste materials from old plastic office cabinets. Each lamp is 3D-printed on demand to minimise waste and maximise energy efficiency.
The lamp base features an internal cable-pulling component and a carefully constructed socket to safely host an E14 light bulb. Giro's cable and switch are pre-assembled by European and American electrical safety standards.
